Reframing the old room
With the shell visible, the layout moved from an idea to real framing. Appliance locations, openings and the working shape of the kitchen began to settle.

Electrical, plumbing, insulation and the less-photogenic work took over. These are the choices that disappear later but determine whether the finished room works.
